SLASH! My silver, curved, dirt-covered dagger meets the wet, green leaf and slices it in two. I am in the Amason in Brazil on an expedition to find out about the natives. SLASH! I cut through another plant. SLASH! "ARGH!" "Oh No!" I thought to myself.
I peer around the bush to find a native on the ground with a deep wound in his arm losing alot of blood. Suddenly I hear battle cries. "Run!" I sprint away as fast as I can with a mob of angry natives running after me. I run through the bush. Something is circling me....

Aaaaahhhh!!! Screams echoed through the air in the dark foggy rainforest. I quickly grab my bush knife, bow and arrow and sprint rapidly through the dark forest. BAM! A corpse smacks against the ground. I slowly glance up. MEOW! An enormous black panther jumps out of a colourful tropical tree. BAM! The sound of a shotgun fires through the air and bolts through the silky black flesh of the panther. I'm saved. I shout then... BAM! Yet another bullet comes flashing through the air hitting the ground. "It's alright" I shouted, "The panther is dead. Thanks to you I'm still..." BAM! "alive" BOOM! BOOM! ....
The hunter is firing at me, I thought. I quickly pick up my equipment and sprint away. At first I thought I was alone then BAM! a bullet goes straight through my gut. Tears well up in my eyes. Is this the end?

As I stay, glancing off into the Amazon jungle, I think to myself - I wish this could stay here forever. But this part of the jungle is scheduled to be cut down tomorrow morning. I thought to myself "What has become of the human race? Removing beautiful things like this just to make couches and tables. Killing all the animal inhabitants of this part of the jungle. They will either be slaughtered or become homeless. Just think..just think..

The thick, rotten vines drape down from the green tree tops, trying to lift me up. Branches viciously try to grab me and pull me side to side with their sharp spikey fingers. The bright, burning sun tries to blind me with its hot rays. I start to disappear among the white, frosty fog.
Right in front of me is a dark green plant staring at me. I start to shrink among the muddy swamp beneath me. Is this what it's like on the other side?
